FTP Rferences

I'm trying to collect all my FTP references into this one document so you can see the following note.

Note:
At least one Web browser hangs up frequently on my system when I chase FTP links. Except as noted, all of these links worked when I tried them using Anarchie.

The hangup problem went away when I installed Netscape-Defrost on my Mac. You can get it from your nearest Info-Mac mirror (see below).

ftp://gulag.gu.uwa.edu.au/pub/alt-keyboards
Legendary alt-keyboards repository of Dvorak software and information. Not available the last time I checked, but the administrator is reportedly working on it.

ftp://ftp.uu.net/archive/systems/mac/info-mac/cfg
Includes several Macintosh Dvorak conversions. This is one of many Info-Mac mirror sites with loads of Mac software.

ftp://FTP.MICROSOFT.COM/SOFTLIB/MSLFILES/GA0650.EXE (39 KB)
Dvorak keymaps (both-hand, left-hand, and right-hand) for DOS 5.0 and DOS 6.0. Also has left-hand and right-hand keymaps for Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroups, Windows NT (Intel only), and Windows 95. Run the file and then read the GA0650.TXT file it extracts.

ftp://FTP.MICROSOFT.COM/SOFTLIB/MSLFILES/DOS6SUPP.EXE (527 KB)
DOS 6 supplement, includes Dvorak keymaps for DOS. Run the file and then run the SETUP.EXE file it extracts.

ftp://FTP.MICROSOFT.COM/SOFTLIB/MSLFILES/DOS62SP.EXE (747 KB)
DOS 6.2 supplement, includes Dvorak keymaps for DOS. Run the file and then run the SETUP.EXE file it extracts.

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ps/ews/dvorkb/dvorkb.zip (41 KB)
IBM employee-written software by Mark Zetts. Remaps OS/2 Warp for left-, right-, or both-handed Dvorak layout. Works with applications and OS/2 or DOS command prompts. Instructions include steps for switching to Dvorak in WIN-OS/2 (or Windows 3.1). Version 1.1 corrects a bug that affected right brace characters in some programs.
